Why does that thing ask you to save BEFORE you start recording? Extremely rudimentary. A spelling mistake in the control panel (stabdard) says a lot about the quality you can expect from it.

i got this app so i could make a CD composed of open mic performances. this program is perfect for that. it downloads the recording right to the itunes library. i was pleasantly surprised at its functionality. i recomend getting an external microphone for this though. thats my best advice.
This "program" launches, but will not work at all. There is nothing that shows that it is even recording and there is no way to see anything that is going on with this app. I selected 2 different sound sources to record, but the recorder does absolutely nothing. The file it supposedly generates is 4 KB, no matter how long you have the recording button pressed. That in itself says all.

Only records audio from microphone. Grammar errors within the software. Most definitely not worth $4.99.

Does not record sound
I have used it for a couple years and it worked. However it stopped recording sound today. It does not matter what setting I turn it to it will not work.
Piece of even for $4
It records at a normal volume for a bout 5 second and then it drops off to the point that the sound is barely heard. Anyone know how to get refund for these hack apps that don’t work?
Suddenly no longer records sound
I've been using for a few years now and it has suddenly decided to stop recording any sound. Doesn't matter which microphone I use. And it's not every recording....it's this one and then maybe then next one, but you'll get one or two fair recordings out of it. I'm done with it....I'll look for something else. I recommend everyone else do the same.

This is a simple app that records just fine
It does a fine job recording audio from the source that you select in System Prefences/Sound. It is like driving a car without a windshield though. You cannot hear what is being recorded until you play it back. There is no feedback with a volume indicator while recording. No volume control. Unless I am missing something.

Been using it for years
I’ve actually been using this little app for years to record audio consultations for those who purchase my services. I was just getting on the Mac App Store to get the link to recommend it to a friend and was extremely surprised to see the negative reviews since I’ve never once encountered an issue with it in the last 4 years or so that I’ve been using it.
